Wet Roads: Car Skids, Crashes into House

One of Crown Heights’ most notoriously unsafe intersections was once again host to an accident, which thankfully and miraculously did not injure any pedestrians.

The accident occurred at the intersection of Crown Street and Brooklyn Avenue at around 8:00am, when a car traveling on Brooklyn attempted to make a right turn, lost control and slammed in to the front of the house on the corner, also damaging one parked car.

Miraculously, no one was standing at the corner at the time of the accident.

The driver was treated at the scene by EMS.

This is a very dangerous corner, i always avoid standing or crossing from there.

I met someone that used to live there who mentioned the poles placed there since his days, which I see serve an important role…

Point blank it boils down to the fact that drivers are not cautious when there is inclement weather.

Maybe in addition to the poles they should put rubber bumpers and air bags.
