FDNY Ambulance Involved in Crash, One Hurt
One person was hurt when the minivan he was driving was struck by an FDNY ambulance that was responding to an emergency. Hatzalah and Shomrim gave assistance, and made a big Kiddush Hashem in the process.
The crash occurred shortly after Shabbos in the intersection of New York Avenue and Montgomery Street. The Ambulance was traveling up New York with its emergency lights flashing and sirens wailing when it collided with the minivan, which was traveling on Montgomery Street.
One eyewitness said that he observed the minivan speeding up before the accident in order to ‘catch the yellow’ before it turned red.
A passerby called Hatzalah, who quickly came to the aid of the EMTs and the injured non-Jewish driver well before any other emergency agencies responded to the crash, making a big kiddush Hashem.
who cares
We don’t do things for kiddush hashem don’t call hatzalah unless a jew is involved hatzalha spends hard workibg tzedakah and people who give up their precious time to do this

Perhaps the witness was concerned for the well being of those involved and thought calling a local, fast ambulance service would be the best for them.
Dont be so quick to judge.
appalled at comment
Crownheights.info advertises publicly for anyone and everyone to see. by actually writing stupid comments saying we should not be responding to non yidden is
1) wrong!
2) misleading non Jews into believing a Yid would not help them if they were hurt.
3) can you imagine if all the goyim held by this perverted premise – those who were helped during the war would not have survived.
A life created by G-d must be saved, period!!
If G-d thought it worthy of creation how can you deny that? and to publish this on the site for people to be misled only encourages negative responses Our job is to be a light unto the nations.
SOXFAN
Isn’t this the same misleading perception that caused death and rioting back in 1991?
An ambulance service should resond to assist the sick and injured, regardless of race, creed of color.
no one special
Who is qualified to determine that this was a “kiddush HaShem”?
Kidush Hashem
When a Jew does something selfless and is witnessed by many – who later thank them for their help – that is the very definition of a Kiddush Hashem.

Thanks hazoloh or shomrim or whomever you are for the lil efforts and the big ones that make a difference in this world of ours!
awacs
It’s funny/sad that a NYC AMBULANCE is involved in a crash, and no one is available to help until after Hatzalah comes.
To #1
