Erev Shabbos Accident Injures One
CROWN HEIGHTS [CHI] — Less then an hour before Shabbos, a van with two girls collided with a car service cab on Lincoln Place, holding the two there up to minutes before Shabbos.
The incident happened at around 6:00pm at the intersection of Troy Avenue and Lincoln Place where the two cars collided mid intersection, and the passenger of the car service requested medical attention.
Hatzalah was later called to check out the two girls, who were held at the scene till minuted before Shabbos. BH they did not sustain any serious injuries.
Bad Timing
I guess the moral is that if you’re going to get into an accident you shouldn’t do it so close to Shabbos.

Thank You Nussi/Shomrim, you were incredible! The girl should sue the other driver’s insurance, because SHE came to a complete stop and HE was driving way too fast and very carelessly. She should also sue the city, because from the (stop sign) white line on the street(on Lincoln, coming up to Troy), it is impossible to see whether or not it is safe to cross. Countless accidents have occurred on that corner. There should be a traffic light put up there!

Um Yuh, I’m sure they are in the works of planning their next accident and I’m sure this time it won’t be an hour before Shabbos.

That is the hardest corner to either turn or go across Albany on, you cannot see if a car is coming unless you inch out into the intersection.
Chaim
It’s unfortunate that this happened right before Shabbos, but please remember that we are commanded to break shabbos in times of emergency and this would definitely be such a time.
