Empire Blvd is one of the most dangerouys streets to cross. cars go ast and do not slow down tu turn and watch out for pedestrians crossing.

    Please be very carful

as in most of Brooklyn, but espeically on Empire, it is best to look in all directions before crossing with the traffic light. cars come from all directions (remember when Benjaminson was hit by a car backing up) and the drivers are not looking for pedestians so we have to look out for them. i am not blaming the woman who was hit, i just don’t want anyone else being hit. i had a few close calls myself before realizing a walk sign means look in all directions and then walk.

  • walking carefully

I hate this corner for crossing the street. I am always so hesitant when crossing Albany on the corner where Virtual Imaging is. I try to avoid it by crossing where Shmimmys is. There is always to many near misses, people just speed around the corner there for fear of being caught on the red light. This is the worst part of Empire!! Is there anything that can be done to prevent it.

In New York the drivers think they
own the road. According to a AAA survey (of about 3-5 yrs ago) most
motorists don’t signal. Therefore most motorists are not good drivers. In their own eyes they think they are.
A Jewish woman received a (about) $125 ticket for not signaling as she turned left onto President St. from Utica Ave.
    B"H I always signaled when I had a car. True, we’re all nogea b’duvah.
    Glad (hope) she’s OK.
It’s confusing to pedestrians when they can’t judge the intention of the oncoming auto.
In Montreal the motorists stop at the corner for you (no lights often).

i remember when i was a kid – that intersection had many accidents. twice i saw overtuned tractor trailers at the corner. note the hill for cars coming west on empire, the intersection is not visible until they get over the hill – when its too late.
