Accident on Montgomery and Kingston

At around 8:50pm Sunday evening as the streets began crowding with cars of those coming into Crown Heights to celebrate Labor Day and take partake in the West Indian Day Parade, two cars collided in the intersection of Kingston and Montgomery.

An SUV driven by a Bochur with 3 passengers was driving on Montgomery St. and was making a left onto Kingston Ave. when he was struck by a Mercedes driven by a Black woman with 2 passengers who was coming up Kingston from Empire.

The driver of the SUV stated that while making a left turn he was all of a sudden struck and lost control of the vehicle, and according to bystanders, the SUV was trying to make the light while the other took and early green and they both collided and ended up on the edge of the sidewalk.

Hatzalah and FDNY EMS treated those involved and B”H no one sustained any serious injuries.

    oh man this is crazy!!!!!! i think the balck male was tooooooooooooooo excited for her labor day parade that she wasnt paying atteantion to what she bwas doing!!!!!!

    i think it was more like both of them.
    u should slow down by a yellow not speed up and wen it turns green u should look first and than go.

    dont say things under false pretences and dont say she is stupid .who cares whos falt it is .bh.no one was seresly injured .lets just hope for the best that it will not happen again

    An early green can be defined as someone who starts driving, knowing the light will be turning green yet it is still red. But at that time the light would be Yellow or red for traffic going in the other direction.

    This could have been tragic, the car could have smashed into Kol Tuv market, and then where would I shop?
