City Bus vs. Traffic Signal Pole

A MTA bus collided with a traffic signal pole this morning, completely uprooting it and causing significant damage. The incident took place at the intersection of Union Street and Brooklyn Avenue at around 8:45am.

Thankfully there were no pedestrians on the sidewalk at the time, and all the damage was to property only. Andrew, an inspector with the transit authority said “the bus did its job to perfection, taking all the damage and protecting the passengers”. There was not a single injury reported.

    No doubt it was the traffic light’s fault for turning green.

    I’ll bet it was the fault of the traffic light. It ran into the street & the busdriver didn’t have enough time to brake.

    The pole jumped out in front the bus!! THAT would be the story if it was a human or a car that got hit!!

    It may have to do with the fact many bus drivers think they are driving go-carts on a race track…

    Unfortunatly these bus drivers just drive they dont wait for even a pedestrian. Suprise they actually “left” the sidewalk there. We had many accedents here in CH.too many.

    This is really not funny.

    Yesterday I mentioned that CH.info has no more exciting accidents.

    The second that it came out of my mouth, I regretted it.

    I am sure he was talking to his superviser, boss, police anyone who had to know about the accident.

    Obviously he’s talking on the phone, he’s calling for emergency services.

    And no, CH.info photographer was not there while the accident happened, I’m sure, they usually come once the accident has happened.

    CITI Bus drivers are wild (they always cut cars off)
    but otherwise all the passengers on the bus will never get anywhere.

    Its interesting that no one made a story that they were hurt (probably the bus was empty)

    Wonder if the driver was Drunk. How else did he do such a good job .He should have done it on kingston to all the meters and and justice would have been served.
