Police Involved in a Head on Collision
Police officers traveling on Empire Boulevard were involved in a head on collision last night, Monday. The incident took place at around 11:00pm at the intersection of Empire and Bedford, where a turning SUV collided with the police car.
NYPD’s Emergency Services Unit responded along with EMS and treated the officers in the car as well as the driver of the SUV.
Apparently SUV was making a left from Bedford, and due to poor visibility made the turn too early and collided with the police car which was coming out of the gas station.
There were no serious injuries reported.

That gas station stole my money!!!
I asked to fill up $25, but they put a hold on my card for $225.
After filling up the guy asured me he only charged $25 and even gave me a receipt showing that. However when my credit card bill came I was charged $225.
DONT USE THIS GAS STATION ON EMPIRE!!!
shtick
they’re doing a lot of this shtick lately, yet I still commend the 71st when they do a good job

Now you see what this great Bloomberg’s Empire Blvd redesign plan causes! Redesigning the street which is a major access point for Police & fire vehicles is just plain insanity! I knew this would eventually happen after I saw the street in February. Just like the health care bill these politicians have to do what feels good regardless of the consequences!
Concerned!
The NYPD quickly sent their little mechanic wagon. That’s the same one they use to flip the cars back over after our volunteer EMT’s and the Fire Department have taken care of the victims and are ready to leave the scene.
