Oholei Torah School Bus Involved in an Accident

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — A school bus on its morning run was involved in an accident at the beginning of its route. The incident took place at around 8:30am at the intersection of Lefferts Avenue and Balfour Place.

There were a total of 5 passengers on the bus, 4 children and a bus monitor, none of whom suffered any injuries, but Hatzalah was called to check them out regardless.

According to witnesses a car pulled out of Balfour and the bus coming down Lefferts could not stop in time and collided.

    My grandson never got to school because of this. He has an early snow day!! Bus drivers…these cars dart out of side roads. Please slow down! MY GRANDCHILDREN ARE ON YOUR BUS!!!

    Yikes – it was bus gimmel, which actually starts it’s route on the other side of town on Lincoln Place. Glad my Tuvya’s ok. Thank you hatzalah for checking out the boys as a precaution.

    Avremi is an incredible driver! My son goes on his bus on holiday days. I trust him! The conditions were rotten and this kind of thing happens. BH no one was hurt.
    My son got picked up only 15 minutes late because of this.
    These little streets need something done to them.

    My son has been going on Avromi’s bus for 2 years, he is a very safe driver and takes great care of the kids,these type of things happen in such conditions, hence the word Accident.

    why are you so quick to blame the bus driver, as a parent who takes his kids down to the bus quite often I see many of our own breaking the laws of safety with regard to school buses and it has nothing to do with the bus drivers!
