Car Door Vs Fire Truck in front of 770

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] – A fire truck severely damaged the door of a car after it was opened into it. The incident happened in front of 770 when a car parked in the ‘no standing’ zone opened its door after half the truck passed it by, causing it to get snagged on the truck and damaged.

The truck was returning from a call down the block and was on its way to the firehouse. There were no injuries.

give the tzfatim a brake I also stand there and will continue as long as I’m not scared of tickets. My question is how does one open a car door into a truck? Don’t you look? It is a street after all

  • PSA

Well insurance will NOT pay. Neither will the city. It is actually against the law to open a car door into the street/traffic!

IF YOU DON’T HAVE SOMETHING GOOD TO SAY THEN DON’T SAY IT !!!
You dear Crown heightser’s (Not all) or whoever else just needs to talk Loshon Horah go somewhere else. We have enough tzores already with Shluchim kids loosing there life and all the other tragties that happened. you have a Problem that he has a flag on the Car and they have a problem that you don’t have a flagon the car. but if everyone did there thing, you go mekarev the yidden who are atracted to you, and they will atraact the yidden who are atracted to them. by you making a Bigger chilul Hashem its not helping the situation.

are they totaly nuts, its against the law stupid and all the above, they should actually ticket the driver for
    1. standing in a no standing zone.
    2. for being reckless with the city property, by damaigng the fire truck.
    3. for putting his own life in danger.
    4. they should take away his driver liscne. like the guy that once backedup into somone and almost killed him, and he never learned his lesson he is reckless uncarfull and they should take away his licences
. the time a\has come that people should be more carfull to what they are doing being that it could cause a chilul hashem and danger.

so next time you open your door, LOOK. YES LOOK!!!!

and if you are the passenger ask the driver to tell you when its safe to exit the vehicle. as yossi dunin used to say on the oholei torah bus. DONT CROSS INFRONT THE BUS> csuse he will not be able to see you. he ALLWAYS would say that.

SO USE YOUR BRAINS AND DO WHATS RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • crownheights.info reader

can someone explain what does mashiach, flags, tzfatim etc etc have to do with one standing in a no standing zone and having door taken off because person was not careful ?????????????????????????????????????????????????????why cant people discuss issues instead of venting against people

  • A. Lawyeer

“Stopping” is not “Standing”!! Stopping, that is the stopping of a vehicle to allow for the entrance or exit of people is allowed in a “No Standing Zone”. Standing, that is waiting in a space while loading or unloading a vehicle of packages, luggage and the like, or making of a delivery, is prohibited in a “No Standing Zone”.

This is true for Meshichists, non-Meshichists, and neutrals too.

  • ch123

for the record that “no standing zone is made for hatzolah members to park when they take the ambulance. anyone who parks there may be delaying ambulance arival for some one who realy needs it

  • THINK THEN TALK!

what the heck is wrong with you people? you use every opportunity to start spewing hate!

is it only michichistim or tzfatim or israelis who park elegally?! have you ever walked up kingston?

or are they the only ones who make mistakes? yesterday my friend pulled into the wrong side of a highway divider do we need to check him out for tzfaty heritage?

or mabey its that he has to be extra carefull because he has flags and a menora on his car? should we stop sending people on shlichus because they might get in to an accident and make a chillel hashem that the rabbi of the town pulles out of a driveway with out looking?

IT WAS A YID WHO MAKE A MISTAKE! not because he is a tzfaty or a mishichist or an israeli or because he has an outie belly botton!

so if you have nothing hate free to spew just shut up!
[there is no obligation to comment]

you should all have a freilichen chanuka

You guys , are just nuts. Who in the world would not stop in front of 770 just to drop something. He wasn’t planning to park there.
Driver should have been careful when opening the door, but it’s different story and does sometimes happens to people (including myself).

    CH123,
you are very correct when you point that out the city put those “no standing zones” for Hatzolah members to park when they take the ambulance. anyone who parks there may be delaying ambulance arival for some one who realy needs it.

I am glad someone understands the “facts”.
