‘Guest’ Struck by a Car Crossing Eastern Parkway Unsafely

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — A Lubavitcher Bochur, visiting Crown Heights for the month of Tishrai, was struck by a fast moving car as he attempted to cross the parkway in the middle of the block, and sustained injuries.

According to eye witnesses the driver of the car attempted to stop but couldn’t and knocked the Bochur over, “it could have been much worse if not for the evasive actions of the driver.”

The Bochur was treated at the scene by Hatzalah.

This incident once again highlights the dangers of not using the crosswalks when crossing eastern parkway.

    The other night I was driving on E.P. and some idiot ran across the street in front of me pushing a stroller. had I not hit the brakes I probably would’ve killed them both.

    Sometimes IT’S the OPPOSITE. A person will cross the street, and some idiot FLIES ACROSS the street and almost kills the INNOCENT WALKER! I cannot BELIEVE the stupidity of some people…

    Let’s not forget about the woman that was killed last week while crossing Eastern Pkwy at Nostrand Ave. Please watch the crosswalk lights and not the traffic lights when crossing.

    Um, in case you haven’t noticed there areas designated for walking and there are areas designated for driving, there are times designated for walking and times designated for driving.

    somebody crossing where he shouldn’t, when he shouldn’t is not an “innocinet wlaker” (-whatever that is)

    But I guess you’ll understand when you grow up and mature a little. (there’s a reason they don’t give licenses to children)
