Witnesses right away called Hatzalah and Shomrim who responded and secured the scene and gave treatment to the man, who sustained injuries to his leg and hand and could not get up on his own. Hatzalah transported the injured to a local hospital.

The car was making a right turn from Montgomery on to Albany and stuck the man in the crosswalk and narrowly avoided another woman who was crossing as well. The driver remained on scene and called 911. Police responded as well and filed an accident report.

Have some respect for the man! is it really necessary to put pics of him in agony on the floor?

If the pedestrian had the light then the driver is no ‘driver.’
One can learn about the middos of a person when he/she
    drives a car.
Once I was crossing by the intersection of Union Street and Schenedtady Avenue. I was on the N/E side. I crossed Union heading south. A car service auto coming south on Schenectady Avenue made a left onto Union at a high rate of speed. He missed me by two inches-an awful feeling!
Noticing the car’s licence plate I called the company’s dispatcher and complained with a calm but firm tone of voice.. I receieved a polite response.
I hope this injured man makes a ‘refuah shelaima’ and is compensated handsomely.

  • a disgrace, Crownheights.info

It is extremely disrespectful, and upseting to see pictures of the man who was hurt, even if you don’t see his face – it’s way below dignified. Please shape up your pictures crownheight.info

  • To the egotistical drivers out there

It’s a big problem in CH that so many drivers will make a turn when a pedestrian is about to, or crossing the street they are turning onto. So many times there have been near accidents where drivers just turn with out thinking, or think they have the right of way, and make the pedestrian wait. PEDESTRIANS have RIGHT of way when they have a clear walk sign, and the driver has to be a CAUTIOUS, FRIENDLY driver!
