Pedestrian Struck and Injured in a Hit and Run
CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] – An elderly Jewish man was struck by a car as he was crossing a Crown Heights street this evening. The incident took place on Brooklyn Avenue and Crown Street where the man was crossing and a car clipped him and knocked him down, causing light injuries.

After striking the man the driver fled the scene, continuing down Brooklyn, but a witness to the incident, a black man in a convertible chased the fleeing car down to Rutland Road and there he managed to cut him off and hold him till police arrived.
Hatzalah responded to the scene and treated the man for his injuries, none of which were life threatening B”H, and then transported him to Kings County Hospital for checkups and observation.
