Oil Slick Causes Accident

The salt coverd, Oil slickend road.

Today [Wednesday] at around 2:30 in the afternoon a Jewish driver turning onto Lefferts Ave. from Brooklyn Ave. didn’t notice that there was an oil slick on the road in the middle of the intersection, and skidded into another car.

There was barely any vehicle damage, but the driver a local Jewish woman was very shaken up and Hatzalah Treated her. FDNY was on scene too.

CrownHeights.info heard that 311 had been called prior to the accident but no one came to take care of it. After the accident the FDNY spread salt to absorb the oil and cleanup the road hazard. The best part of this whole story is that after the accident the Sanitation Department showed up to clean up the oil slick (which was around 4 hours from when 311 was called) and after FDNY had taken care of it.
