Video: The House Is on Fire and Our Kids Are Inside!

This video is a recording of a session that was given at this past week’s Kinus Hashluchim by Avi Fishoff, who has spent the last 15 years guiding parents with OTD children.

“Although some Chabad Shluchim do important life-saving work with “Kids in Pain” who leave the fold, it is time for this important issue to become officially recognized as a central part of Chabad’s mission statement and charter,” says Fishoff.

“Just as Chabad houses are opened everywhere in the world where there is a demographic that needs their services, so too, new Chabad houses must be opened with specially trained Shluchim and special programs created to attract and specifically heal with Yiddishe Kids in Pain.”

  • Because COL doesnt let me comment there

    I will try to express my feelings here.I heard so many amazing things about Avi and then there are the people that start bashing him for not talking with soft gloves…THIS IS AN EMERGENCY!!!

    NOT THE TIME FOR KITTY GLOVES…
    If it works lets save loves!!!!

    this in my professional opinion applies to call of the shofar…I know 15 people that were saved and got their life together because of the shofar…

    And then they shut it down ..why? trmped up reasons that really has no validity…we use so many techniqies from the goyim but they work so we use them..

    IF SOMETHING WORKS LETS NOT BAD MOUTH IT AND DESTROY IT JUST BECAUSE WE DONT CONTROL IT..
    LETS SAVE LIVES!!

    MAY WE HAVE THE GEULAH NOW!

      Would you teach a foreign chassidus or musser – no matter how inspirational, to your children?

      No, because it is NOT OUR DERECH!

      P E R I O D.

  • Interested!!

    I listened to the video and was very impressed!! I had hoped to hear some concrete suggestions and yet the whole presentation was about pleading with the community not to abandon our children. There was nothing practical to take away! Would love to hear more in that line!!

    ODT = On the Derech
    or
    ODT = Off the Derech

    Not trying to be funny on a very sensitive subject. however, never liked the acronym of “Off the Derech”…

    perhaps a child is not on the RIGHT path. but he is on A path,
