Beis Rivka Conducts Fire Drill in Under 3 Minutes

Following a fire last week in their high school, Beis Rivka conducted a fire drill in their larger Lefferts Avenue elementary school. 1,400 students ranging in age from 2-years-old to 14-years-old quickly filed out of the building once the alarms sounded. It took staff and students under 3 minutes to successfully evacuate the entire building.

It’s a fire drill so how did everyone manage to get their coats on?????

  • Great!

That’s great. Now try it during lunch or recess and make sure that goes smoothly too. As I understand, that was part of the chaos in the high school evacuation.

isn’t that amazing, that they were even able to get their coats on and still be outside within 3 minutes?

ps: if I remember correctly, for a fire DRILL you do take your coats because you don’t want to make the kids sick when there’s no real emergency.

    • little kids in coats

at the begging of the day the little kids were told to put on their coats .at the fire drill they simply got up and left.the older ppl were not told and they left in the freezing cold . they did not have time to put on their coats.

Am I the only parent furious that the teachers told the kids, its fake..so put your coats on! We all survived fire drills in the cold without a coat, our kids will too. Its supposed to be a practice for the real thing!! I don’t get it
