Bnos Chomesh Girls Celebrate Graduation

Despite a fire less than 48 hours earlier, Bnos Chomesh Girls’ High School celebrated its 5th graduation on Sunday, 24 Sivan (June 22) with great joy.

“There was no way we were going to let our concerns about the fire detract one iota from this great milestone in our students’ lives,” said Bnos Chomesh principal Dena Gorkin. “This is a celebration of our girls’ hard work and success, and nothing can reduce our happiness.”

The Crown Heights Young Entrepreneur’s Center was the venue for this special event. Family and friends of Bnos Chomesh’s graduates packed the house to share in the celebration.

Graduate Chaya Goodman addressed the Bnos Chomesh staff with a thank you “for making my high school experience one that anybody would be lucky to have. And for making it an experience that is impossible to forget. ”

Graduate Miriam Sternbach thanked the parents, mentioning many wonderful life lessons her own parents have taught her. Following Miriam’s address, the graduates stepped momentarily into the audience and handed long stemmed roses to their mothers.

The staff of Bnos Chomesh wishes the graduating class of 5774 much hatzlacha in their futures, as each of them heads for the seminary of her choice.

we finally found A school that my daughter actually loves. We couldn’t have done a better decision than to put her in Bnos Chomesh last year. She is happy and we, the parents, are happy to see her blossom.
