Los Angeles—on Sunday of last week, November 30, 2008, about 30 boys from Los Angeles’ Lubavitcher community converged on the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California to install a president of their own.

FT. LAUDERDALE, FL — Shattered by the murders in Mumbai, one energy magnate is picking up the pieces by making a significant contribution to a Florida Chabad center.
We are deeply saddened to inform you of the passing of Mrs. Batya (Basha) Reinitz of Crown Heights, early Tuesday morning. Her husband is R Yosef Zeev Reinitz.
The levaya will be today Tuesday at 5:00pm at Shomrei Hadas and passing 770 at 5:30pm, where she will then be flown to Israel for burial on Har Hazetim.
Shiva will be in the home of R’ Shmuel Chaim Reinitz in Emanuel.

WEST ORANGE, NJ [CHI] — Over 600 people gathered for a memorial last week in the JCC Metro West in West Orange, NJ. Built on Bolshaya Masterskaya Street (now Lermontov Avenue), a festive ceremony took place on that historic day so many years ago in order to consecrate the new Great Choral Synagogue.
