by Getzy Markowitz

Israeli soldiers being attacked on the deck of the Mavi Marmara. Inset: Getzy Markowitz.

Rubashkin Defense Rests; Deliberations Open Today

By Jens Manuel Krogstad Des Moines Register

WATERLOO — Prosecutors built their child labor case against Sholom Rubashkin on the testimony of liars and thieves, and failed to prove that the former Agriprocessors Inc. executive allowed children to work at his family’s slaughterhouse, defense attorneys argued Thursday.
