Twenty two hundred of its 30000 students are Jewish, but CU’s distance from major Jewish centers means that Jewish life is less accessible to them.
3 Wounded in Shooting outside Copenhagen Synagogue
Three people were wounded, one critically, in a shooting outside of a synagogue in the center of Copenhagen, Denmark late Saturday night. This incident follows another shooting in a café where one man was left dead.

Teenage Girl Shot 3 Times on Maple and Kingston
In the second shooting incident in as many days, a 19-year-old African-American girl was shot three times near the entrance to her apartment building on Maple Street and Kingston Ave. She was rushed to Kings County Hospital, where she remains in critical but stable condition. Police are investigating if this incident is related to the one that occurred in the same spot three days ago, when a Jewish man was robbed and shot by a thug wearing a ‘keffiyeh.’
