Fire Torches Crown Heights Apartment Wednesday Night
Fire fighters responded to 451 Kingston Ave Wednesday night, to battle a blaze that sent flames billowing out of an apartment window. The flames were quickly extinguished, and no injuries were reported.

Obituary: His Brother’s Keeper: Norman Rosenbaum, 63, Fierce Advocate for Justice
For more than a decade, Norman Rosenbaum was a fixture in New York City, a fiery Australian who became a fixture on front pages and nightly newscasts for his impassioned speeches—many on the steps of City Hall, demanding justice in the face of entrenched anti-Semitism after the infamous 1991 Crown Heights riots, in which his younger brother Yankel was brutally murdered. Rosenbaum passed away on July 25 in Melbourne, Australia. He was 63 years old.
State of Emergency Declared for NYC, Westchester, Nassau, Suffolk, and Rockland Counties

Here’s My Story: Writing the Book on Self-Sacrifice
Rabbi Naftali Tzvi Gottlieb (1935-2017) was a prolific writer and author. His biography of the Rebbe’s father, which was originally published in Hebrew, has since been partly translated into English under the title: Rabbi, Mystic, Leader: The Life and Times of Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Schneerson. He was interviewed in his home in Betar Illit, Israel, in January of 2014.
