The blizzard of the year has descended on New York City with seven inches of snow already blanketing the Big Apple.

The snow is expected to worsen throughout the day, with the worst hitting Monday evening. All together, meteorologists are anticipating nearly two feet of snow, making it the largest blizzard in years.

The city roads, which are already treacherous, are expected to get worse, and the travel restrictions put in place by the Mayor are expected to remain through 6:00am Tuesday morning.
