Boruch Dayan Hoemes: Mrs. Tzivia Zaklos, 57, OBM

With great sadness and pain we inform you of the untimely passing of Mrs. Tzivia Zaklos, a beloved educator and veteran member of the Lubavitch community in Montreal, Canada. She was 57 years old.

Mrs. Zaklos was a beloved teacher at Beis Rivkah of Crown Heights whilst it was still located on Church Avenue. After marrying, she moved to Montreal where she continued in the path of Chinuch, for which she is fondly remembered.

She passed away on Friday, Erev Shabbos Va’etchanan.

She is survived by her husband. Dr. Meir Zaklos, and children: Rabbi Yosef Zaklos (Boston, MA) and Rabbi Chaim Zaklos (New York, NY).

She is also survived by her parents, Hershel and Miriam Slavin (Crown Heights), and siblings: Eli Slavin (Crown Heights), Mrs. Batya Goldberger (Crown Heights), Rabbi Velvel Zev Slavin (Kfar Chabad, Israel) and Rabbi Dovid Slavin (Sydney, Australia).

The Levaya will take place in Montreal on Motzei Shabbos. It will leave from Yeshivas Tomchei Tmimim Lubavitch – 6405 Westbury Avenue – at 11:00pm. It will then continue on to New York, where the procession will pass 770 on Sunday at around 12:30pm. The interment will be at Old Montefiore Cemetery in Queens at 1:15pm.
