Crown Heights Firehouse Caught On Camera Lighting Fireworks

by CrownHeights.info

The nightly fireworks harassing Crown Heights are being done by “unknown citizens,” right? Nope, or at least not always.

A Crown Heights resident got the shock of his life after witnessing a firefighter exiting the firehouse at 1352 St Johns Pl in Crown Heights, where he lit a firework and stepped back to watch.

The community member told CrownHeights.info that he approached three firefighters watching the spectacle, pointing out that they had been lighting fireworks at 11:30pm after they questioned his as to why he was videoing them.

The firehouse, which houses FDNY Engine 234, Ladder 123, and Battalion 38, was touted as the FDNY’s “most diverse firehouse the city” in 2016.

The fireworks have been terrorizing the Crown Heights community for a week now, with the loud booms keeping adults awake, and scaring young children.
