SHOMRIM ALERT: Protest Planned For Crown Heights

Crown Heights Shomrim has published an alert for the Crown Heights Jewish community notifying them of a planned protest for 3:00pm today, Wednesday, at Eastern Parkway and Bedford Ave.

The alert said that “Shomrim has received word that a protest is planned to take place today, Wednesday, on Eastern Parkway and Bedford Avenue at 3PM. The NYPD will be deploying to the protest and Shomrim will be providing updates and any assistance for the community.”

A majority of the protests that have taken place in Brooklyn have been peaceful, and today’s protest is expected to be the same.

Still, Shomrim advised the community to “Please refrain from traveling in the areas of Empire Blvd and Eastern Parkway towards Prospect Park beginning from approximately 2 PM.”
