Apple Bank’s Crown Heights Branch Shuts Its Doors For Two Weeks, Leaves Crown Heightsers in Limbo

by CrownHeights.info

Crown Heights’s Apple Bank branch has closed its doors for two weeks after the branch had what was identified as a “Coronavirus exposure.”

The plan to close the store irritated an already on edge community deep into the Coronavirus pandemic.

“Everything is closed, even the ATM,” one Crown Heights resident told CrownHeights.info. “What do they want us to do? We are all out of work, we need access to our money.”

The closure puts many residents of the community in a bad position, stuck at home and unable to access their savings to help cover the cost of survival.

Presently, there is no official lockdown of New York City, but all non essential businesses have been closed, and residents asked to please work from home.
