Friendship Circle Preps for Art Gallery Event

On April 29th, 2015 in the midst of the Baltimore riots, police decided to ban fans from entering the stadium. For the first time in history, a major league baseball game was played but to 47,000 empty seats. Did you ever think about what effect the crowd has on a player’s game? Does it make a difference to the players on the field if they hear the spectators rooting for them? Does it make things more exciting?

On Sunday, May 19, at the Jewish Childrens Musuem from 3:00-5:00pm, the Art of Friendship Gallery will be open, displaying 144 pieces of Art, created by children and adults with special needs; members of the Friendship Circle of Brooklyn. Bring along your family and friends and make this a memorable occasion for all our artists. Let our artists know that we are rooting for them, that we adore and love the work that they have produced. Let them feel like the stars they really are, with people “oohing and aahing” over each and every one of their masterpieces.

Whether you are a major league baseball player, a mother of a child with down syndrome, or a 25 year old with autism, the cheering, rooting and support is what give each of us the ability to play a game we may never have thought we could.
