Elderly Woman Slashed and Another Man Injured in Attempted Robbery in Crown Heights

Two teenagers attempted to rob an elderly lady at knife point in the President St subway station Thursday. The lady was slashed, and a witness injured as he attempted to intervene in the botched robbery. The teenagers fled, evading the police for now.

Two teenagers, one male and one female, attempted to rob an elderly woman in the President St subway station Thursday morning.

The brazen and botched robbery occurred around 11:00am, with many witnesses to the incident.

A witness told CrownHeights.info that the male teenager attempted to rob the older woman, slashing her on her arm in the process.

A witness attempted to intervene, and hold down the young thief. A second teenager, reportedly the thief’s girlfriend, struck the man over the head with a glass bottle, injuring him.

The two teenagers ran off, evading the police for now.

Both of the victims, non Jews, were listed in stable condition.
