NYC Sees 2.5% Increase in Anti-Semitic Incidents

New York City, home to the world’s largest Jewish population, has seen an increase of 2.5% in hate crimes and anti-Semitic incidents in 2015 according to police commissioner William Bratton.

JPUpdates reported that at a meeting with Jewish leaders last week NYC’s top cop said “We had 125 anti-Semitic incidents in 2015, vs 122 from 2014. It’s a 2.5% increase,”

“We’re always distributed with anti-Semitic incidents,” Bratton added. “I think we actually have in NYC the best unit that was created specifically to deal with hate crimes. We investigate every little of those incidents. We protect the rights of every religious group. Hate crimes always remain a significant concern for the NYPD” he concluded.
