Press Conference Decries Hate and Crimes against Community

Politicians and residents gathered on the street corner where a 24-year-old Jewish man was attacked last week in a suspected hate crime, in order to decry the violence. Following the press conference they went to the Raksin home to deliver bouquets of flowers.

The press conference was called by the Brooklyn borough president Eric Adams, at the behest of Berel Suger who is a local business owner and founder of the Jewish Leadership Council, taking place on Albany Avenue and Union Street, the site where 24-year-old Avrohom Wolosow was attacked by a group of Black teenagers.

Dozens of reporters attended the press conference and heard from a number of politicians including public advocate Letitia James, state assemblyman Karim Camara, city councilwoman Laurie Cumbo and Rabbi Eli Cohen of the Jewish Community Council.

Following the press conference the politicians walked down Albany to the home of the Raksin family and met with the wife and siblings of Reb Yosef Raksin HY”H who was killed on Shabbos while walking to Shul in North Miami Beach, Florida.

Nechama Losh, sister of Yosef Raksin, spoke with the politicians saying “a personshould be able to walk down the street, be it in Florida or New York… without the fear of being murdered in cold blood.”

You could have taken all the sound bites from the previous press conference and the one before that and the one before that and you would get the same Dumbo-jumbo.

Wow, yet another press conference; another opportunity for a photo-opp; another opportunity for useless politicians to make themselves relevant; another opportunity for the useless Crown Heights Community Council inc,. to make themselves relevant. Another opportunity for self appointed community activist to make themselves relevant.

How does the saying go? “You never let a serious crisis go to waste”.

Contact the Crown Heights Jewish Community Council if you would like to join the Photo-Opp Patrol [POP] 718-771-9000

Space is limited to amount of people that can fit in a photo shot.

Who elected [red in the face] Dov Hikind to represent Crown Heights? Who keeps bringing him to Crown Heights and why?

Hikind represents the people from Assembly District 48, not the people of Crown Heights.

Dov Hikind is a lair and hypocrite and a friend to the corrupt cabal of Mossrim from the Crown Heights Jewish Community Council, Inc.

Dov Hikind go home, we do not need nor want you in Crown Heights!!!.

    The solution to the problem?

Go preach to those doing these attacks. Don’t come to the good hard working [innocent] people of Crown Heights and start preaching about peace, unity and one community, etc…etc… bla bla bla.

Go to the black schools and start teaching them. Bring back the moment of silence to our public schools.
Tell the black community to stop preaching hate to their people.
Tell liberal Democrats to stop creating class warfare.
    Stop race baiting.

All these so called community leaders should all go home and take care of their own community. Make sure your house/community is in order before coming to make order in our house.
    ______________________________

    As for “our people”.

Chanina Sperlin, Dov Hikind and that whole cabal from the CHJCC (with their shmira/chsp/cop), you all have innocent Jewish blood running down your fingers.

You are the cause to much pain and suffering (and in many cases death) of many good innocent Jews. Don’t pretend like all of a sudden you care about Jews.

This is all about the Money. Keep Crown Heights on the map so you can fill your own greedy pockets with grant money.

    Here are some facts:

Other neighborhoods have it much worse then Crown Heights. Why aren’t you making press conferences there?

[All] Bullies (animals) pick on someone they perceive to be weak (and not likely to defend him or herself). In our neighborhood the Jew is the [easy] target. In another neighborhood it can be a non-Jewish white guy. And even in Black neighborhoods this can happen with black on black (and it does).
I am not saying that antisemitism does not exist, it certainty does and its certainty getting really bad around the world.

Again, the root of the problem is a lack of education. These “concerned and caring” politicians, community activist and community leaders should be taking action regarding education. They should be discussing how to bring G-d back into our schools.

Without a [godly] soul and a godly purpose, all your left with is a [wild] animal.

After the press conference a great sense of peace and unity was felt, Jews, Blacks, Muslims, Xhristians, Hindus and even Meshichistim, were seen holding hands and dancing together throughout the streets of Crown Heights.

This spirit of peace and unity will spread throughout the land and all will be good in the world.

    Moshiach Times!!!

    race baiter
One who insinuates that racism or bigotry is a dominant factor with regards to an event that either does not involve race or in which diverse cultures are involved are simply a minor element.

  • Dear representatives

These “knockout” games are perpetrated not by adults, but by children. Meaning, the criminality issue is a symptom, but the real core of the issue is an educational one! Therefore, the real treatment of it is a change in the approach towards education in the schools these children attend.

The Rebbe spoke so many times about the necessity for the institution of a moment of silence in the beginning of the school day, first and foremost to prevent things like these. If we would focus on preventing criminality from its roots, there would be less need for policing and imprisoning.

If these kids would know better, they would simply not want to act in such ways.

As our representatives, please use opportunities such as these press conferences to share the Rebbe’s unique messages with the world. After all, this is Dor Hashvi’i, and we are our Rebbe’s Chassidim!

In other words, in addition to speaking about monetary rewards for information leading to the arrest of these “thugs”, please try to also talk about how to insure that these kids are no longer “thugs”, and to turn the spotlight on the Rebbe’s relevant messages.

That way we won’t have to arrest them to begin with.

Fitting on this day, the 23rd year since the murder of Yankel Rosenbaum, zt’l, on the streets of Crown Heights.
May his memory be a blessing.

what us so fitting about having a press conference? What does this press conference accomplish other then make a bunch of irrelevant people relevant?

When you do something in someone’s memory, it’s usually something which has meaning and something thats everlasting. You build something, you write a Torah, you start a shuir etc… or you makr a campaign to educate the black community etc…

People, the lack of tznius of the women here is appaling! The married women all look unmarried witht their natural, long sheitals and are breaching halacha with low cut blouses…. Even photographing women…! When there is a lack of tznius, HKBH takes away our shmira and the streets become even dangerous!
