Berel Zucker to Lead Niggunim During Gimmel Tammuz Broadcast

Renowned Cantor Berel Zucker of New York will be leading the musical segment of the global interactive Gimmel Tammuz gathering uniting chassidim worldwide this Wednesday, Erev Gimmel Tammuz (June 24), 2:30 PM EST.

The “Barcheinu Avinu – a special hiskashrus” broadcast will be broadcast live near the Rebbe’s Ohel and participants will be joining via regional Zoom rooms.

Chazzan Zucker, who recently lost his wife Reizel OBM, will be leading the singing of the Chabad niggunim during the broadcast. He will be accompanied by an acapella choir of the Rabin brothers in addition to the Pansaim choir.

The program, coordinated by Vaad Or Vechom Hiskashrus, is being hailed as a never-before virtual gathering of Chassidim at a time when many cannot physically visit the Ohel on the Rebbe’s yartzeit.

During the hour-long program which will include learning and the live reading of a ‘Pan’ letter at the Rebbe’s Ohel, there will be a tribute to the many neshamos who passed away in recent months.

In addition to the Zucker family, some of the children reading the 12 Pesukim will be children of families who were affected during the Covid-19 pandemic.

“We have a rare opportunity to bring Chassidim together in a most unique way,” organizers said. “We have been receiving exciting feedback from people and communities around the world – especially those who can’t physically visit the Ohel this year.”

Participants will be joining the broadcast from North America, South America, Europe, Israel and South Africa. After joining the regional Zoom room, they will be connected to the global broadcast.
