Chabad of Tzfas Launches Program For English Speaking Olim

The Tzemach Tzedek Shul in Tsfat has served for decades as a place for English speakers who want to integrate into the Israeli community, aside from being a standard Anash shul in which Israeli and American born worshipers join together. Recent interest in moving to Eretz Yisroel and the challenges involved in any move have caused the Tzemach Tzedek Shul/Chabad of the Old City and Central Tsfat to launch a new program to help English speakers who have moved to Israel.

The Lubavitcher Rebbe said for decades that Eretz Yisroel is watched over with a special level of Hashem’s protection, the “land that Hashem watches over constantly.” Throughout the Gulf War the Lubavitcher Rebbe stressed that Eretz Yisroel is the safest place for Jews, emphasizing this point far more than ever before, changing to more active words and encouraging Jews to live in Israel.

Some families who arrive need help with arranging Chinuch, proper Torah education. Others need help navigating government registration, employment or to reputably buy or rent a place to live. Some need help with essentials like food. For all of these needs, the new project offers a place to turn.

Chabad of Central Tsfat and the Tzemach Tzedek Shul sees this calling as needed and an important mission of the times. It is answering the call of many and is committed to guiding immigrants and to walking with them as they build a new life. Shluchim have always been instructed to care for those who lack physically and spiritually and that one’s physical lacks must be addressed first. This program goes a step further. It is designed to help prevent anyone from lacking and to help those who arrive to land securely on their feet.

Those who need more information should call 058-323-7195 in Israel or 917-830-3364 in America. For more information about the program please go to https://chabadtsfat.com/new-immigrants-english-speakers/.
