Chidon Sefer Hamitzvos Unable To Hold Shabbaton, Will Find Alternative Format

Each year, children across the globe look forward to coming to Crown Heights for the Chidon Sefer Hamitzvos Shabbaton. Unfortunately, due to the spread of the Coronavirus, the Shabbaton has been cancelled.

“We regret to inform you that due to all the restrictions introduced by the coronavirus pandemic, and based on the guidance of Rabbonim, health authorities and doctors, we are unable to hold the Chidon Shabbaton as scheduled.”

The Chidon Headquarters published this statement along with plans to mail the finalists trophies and sweaters, after allowing each finalist to complete their tests from their homes.

As the Chidon has not yet given up hope of still being able to hold their event at a different time, the organizers asked for patience as they worked to putting together a new Chidon experience.
