JEM: Hearing From The Doctor

JEMcentral.org

In honor of Rosh Chodesh Kislev, the day marking the Rebbe’s return to full health, Living Torah this week features an interview with Dr. Louis Teichholz, a cardiologist who treated the Rebbe after the heart attack.

In 1977, Dr. Teichhholz was a Head of Cardiology at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. On the holiday of Shmini Atezeres in 1977, the Rebbe suffered a heart attack, and Dr. Teichholz was asked to led a team of doctors treating the Rebbe at 770. It was there that he merited to converse with the Rebbe about many fascinating topics.

Dr. Teichholz was interviewed in July 2019 by Rabbis Avrohom Moshe Dyce and Yitzchak Tsap. Filmed by Yisrael Silman.

Thank you to Rabbi Sholom Ber Gorodetzky, who invested considerable energy in orchestrating this important interview, and the capture of this important story.
