Chabad’s Jewish Women’s Circle Crafts Soaps for Safe Homes Shelter

Unique aromas of herbs and flowers enticed participants of Chabad’s “Jewish Women’s Circle” as they chose their favorite scents to create hand-crafted soaps for Safe Homes Women’s Shelter.

The event was led by Chana Burston, who co-directs Chabad of Orange County with her husband, Rabbi Pesach.  The goal of the Jewish Women’s Circle is to give women the opportunity to celebrate with a social night out, along with an aspect of giving to others as well.  “We want to use our creativity to benefit women who need some love,” explained Chana.  Each hand-crafter soap gift was accompanies by a hand-written card as well.

Ladies from throughout the County enjoyed “Soap Bars & Soup Bar” at the Chabad Jewish Center in Chester.  Chana Burston shared insights into the soul’s relationship with G-d through prayer and the essential connection prayer provides for the soul.  Participants enjoyed a piping hot soup bar with condiments.

Sherri Eccleston of Johnson, owner of Sherri’s Heirloom Soaps, led a workshop on soap-making and the healing benefits of various herbs, and gifted each participant with healing arnica cream. The Soap workshop and supplies were generously sponsored by Sherri’s Heirloom Soaps.  For more info on the future Jewish Women’s Circles, contact Chana Burston at 845-782-2770, ChabadOrange.com
