Israelis Put on Tefilin at Dizengoff Attack Site

A makeshift memorial was set up on Tel Aviv’s Dizengoff Street at the sight where a terrorist opened fire on Sunday, killing two and injuring several more. Though the killer is still at large, hundreds of Israelis have been flocking to the site to light a candle, lay flowers, remember the victims and show defiance against terror.

Next to the memorial, Chabad Shluchim in Tel Aviv, led by Rabbi Y.Y. Gerlitzky, have set up a booth and are offering visitors the opportunity to put on Tefilin and say a prayer.

Almost all who are asked agree to do so.
