Tannersville Unites for Yahrtzeit of Reb Levik

In an impressive display of Jewish unity, three communities got together in the Chabad Shul in Tannersville, NY, for a Yarchai Kallah Melava Malka and Farbrengen in honor of the 71st Yahrtzeit of Reb Levi Yitzchok, the Rebbe’s father.

Taking place ahead of Chof Av, the date of the passing of Reb Levi Yitzchok, members of the Litvish and Chassidish communities in Tannersville, New York, joined with the Chabad community to mark this auspicious date.

Taking place in Beis Menachem, the local Chabad Shul, hundreds joined in for a lavish Melava Malka Seudah and Farbrengen, which was attended by the Bostoner Rebbe Shlit”a; Rabbi Yehoshua Borenstein, the Rabbi of Anshei Hashurun Shul in Tannersville; and Rabbi Mordechai Shtern, the Rabbi of Beis Menachem Chabad Shul.

Also participating was a large group of Temimim attending the Yeshivas Kayitz in Tannersville, along with their Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Moshe Silman.

Honored at the event was Sholom Ber Drizin, who sponsored part of the event and also helps support all three communities in Tannersville.

“It was an evening of great Kiddush Hashem,” one of the event organizers said.

A special booklet was given out as a Teshura, published by Vaad Talmidei Hatmimim with the help of Rabbi Dovid Dubov, Shliach in Princeton, NJ.

The event was made possible by the board of the Beis Menachem Shul.
