Police Promise Presence at Parade

With preparations for this year’s Lag Ba’omer Parade well underway, lead parade coordinator Rabbi Shimon Hecht, met again with New York’s finest to discuss safety and logistics for this upcoming event.

Assistant Chief Owen J. Monaghan reassured Rabbi Hecht that the NYPD is working hard to guarantee the safety and security of all parade attendees.

“A record amount of barricades are required for this year’s parade” says Rabbi Hecht, “the Police have been very accommodating to all of our needs.”

Police met again with the committee at the site of the parade today, Friday, to discuss practical logistics.
