Rabbi O’s Yeshiva Shares Purim Joy with Community

Purim excitement was already in the air Friday night at YNS (AKA Rabbi ‘O’s Yeshiva) in New Jersey. During Kabbolas Shabbos and Ma’ariv, the bochurim sang and danced the Tefilos to all different niggunim.

The Purim fever carried over to Motzei Shabbos, when the yeshiva joined Young Israel of Margate City for the Megillah reading, followed by live music and dancing that continued on at the yeshiva until the wee hours of the morning.

Following Megillah reading, in the morning the bochurim set out to spread Simchas Purim in the community by singing and dancing at the homes of several community members and staff.

In the afternoon, the yeshiva opened its doors to the community for Seudas Purim.  Over 75 people attended and enjoyed the live music, dancing, shushi and salad bar, followed by a festive chinese buffet dinner.

Many community members thanked Rabbi Yaakov Orimland, Rosh Yeshiva, for his efforts on behalf of the community.  They felt that without the bochurim of the yeshiva they would not have felt such Purim joy.

A big thank you goes to Shimmy Brod for the fantastic music enjoyed by all, and to Temimim Zevi Slavin, Levi Baitelman, Avrohom Steinmetz and Mendel Yaffee for bringing Purim liveliness to the Yeshiva.  A tremendous thank you goes to the Yeshiva’s Shliach, Meir Cohen, for his endless efforts on behalf of the yeshiva and the bochurim.
