8:00pm: 2nd Episode of Applied Chassidus with R. Jacobson

Following the major success and popularity of the first broadcast of MyLife: Chassidus Applied, Rabbi Simon Jacobson will air the second episode tonight Sunday, January 19, 18 of Shvat here on CrownHeights.info.

Episode Two follows the overwhelmingly positive response from the community after the pilot launch in which Rabbi Jacobson cut right to the chase by answering serious and heavy questions regarding the role of Torah in psychology, healthy vs. unhealthy kabolos ol, and addiction. “I purposely addressed general, over-arching questions to lay down a foundation for the topics that will be explored at length in the coming weeks,” explained Rabbi Jacobson after the broadcast aired.

The feedback has been pouring into The Meaningful Life Center with accolades for the initiative and asking for more.

“Huge yashar koach for this initiative. For those of us who’ve learned Chassidus for years, and even given shiurim on it, this was very useful demonstrating how we can extract relevant, practical life-changing messages from those parts of Chassidus where it is not immediately apparent. It is so abundantly clear to all that this is what people are thirsting for: What we were NOT taught in Yeshiva about Chassidus!”

“It was spoken in clear language while bringing down essential principles in Chassidus from our Rabbeim, demonstrating that we really have all the answers and that Chassidus is the greatest gift.”

One listener wrote in: “My family and I sat down together to watch the webinar. It was like attending a live farbrengen from the comfort of my home not to mention a wholesome event for us to do with our older children”.

Rabbi Jacobson urges those in positions of authority, such as community leaders, principals of schools, educators, and mashpiim should share this event with members of their community and within their spheres of influence.

Tonight, Rabbi Jacobson will host another hour long live webcast and plans to answer questions pertaining to shalom bayis, chinuch, depression and anxiety, and narcissism. He will also revisit the topic of addiction to provide a more comprehensive approach to dealing with it due to the abundance of follow up questions.

Many voiced a need to have a completely anonymous way of submitting questions, so a form has been put into the site meaningfullife.com/MyLifeLive to allow for complete privacy. “Keep the questions coming”, urged Rabbi Jacobson. “The questions pouring in reflect that we are all human and not immune to the issues plaguing society. The beautiful thing is that we have the best medicine around – both remedial and preventative, and it’s called Chassidus.”

Last week’s webcast and future episodes will be archived online at meaningfullife.com/mylife.
