Crown Heights Streets Ranked Dirtiest in Brooklyn

Crown Heights’ streets have been ranked the dirtiest in Brooklyn, in ratings released by the office of Mayor Bill de Blasio. It is followed closely by neighboring Bedford-Stuyvesant.

The scores are based on street and sidewalk cleanliness throughout the entire city.

Some of the cleaner streets in Brooklyn can be found in Bay Ridge, Dyker Heights and Fort Hamilton.

  • Here Come The Summonses

Now watch, the city will mis-use this ranking to give out more sanitation summonses instead of hiring more street sweepers.

Another tax coming down–dirty street tax.. but I have seen enough to know in this neighborhood people just do not give a =====about how things, look, safety and health through non-littering. They just throw it out there and that is it because someone else can take care of the issue.

    • Agree with #5

How about those who put challah out on the sidewalk thinking they are feeding the birds and attracting rats instead, I would like to see them getting tickets, and those who leave their garbage in front of other buildings because they have to walk round to the back of their homes to put out their garbage, at least they can follow the rules and leaves things tidy.
