  It mentions about not taking haircuts, not taking haircuts is Asur way before the nine days, the last time to take a haircut is before sunset on the 16th of Tamuz, so I don’t understand the Chidush here of not getting a haircut that was prohibited already 2 weeks ago.

  The אבילות of חודש מנחם אב is truly only till the 10th of Av till חצות, after חצות, it is permitted to listen to music, take a haircut, dance, eat meat, drink wine, make a chasuna etc, the Rebbe said that it’s better to wait & do things after the 15th of Av bec of reasons explained in Chassidus, but acc to Halacha @ Chatzos on the 10th of Av everything is permissible, so when it says here about moving into a new house why should I wait till ר”ח אלול, if the אבילות of the 9 days & 3 weeks is finished by Chatzos on the 10th of Menachem Av ? The Gemara says משנכנס אב ממעטין בשמחה, yes that is correct but the אבילות isn’t the whole month to the extent that moving into a new house you should wait till Elul, if the 15th of Av is such a Happy day & from then on ppl do make chaunas why is moving in or buying a new house supposed to wait till Elul, the Avilus of Av ends on the 10th from Chatzos, if there was אבילות the whole months then you wouldn’t be allowed to make Chasuna, listen to music, meat wine.

  The Halachos of the 9 days & 3 weeks end by Chatzos on the 10th of Menachem Av & the reason for that is, is bec the בית המקדש was burning the whole day on the 10th of Av so bec of that all the Halachos of the 9 days still apply, the reason it’s only till Chatzos & not after is bec we say מקצת היום ככולו (part of the day is like the whole thing) this concept in Halacha applies to lots of things for example an אבל, who lost a parent even if the funeral was 45 mins before Shkia & he started the Shiva let’s say 10 mins before sunset, that 10 mins is counted as the 1st day of Shiva & doesn’t have to start counting 7 days from the next day, so the same thing over here being that we day till Chazos, so it’s counted as if it’s the whole day, so yes this is something that they don’t mention in the Halachos here, that it’s only till Chatzos on the 10th, it’s very interesting why it doesn’t say this.

  Regarding not taking a shower, it’s not so simple, if the person is not gona shower for 3 days or even after 2 days & he stinks really nasty, there is no Mitzvah to go around stinking & smelling like a Bum to the extent that it will cause a Chilul Hashem @ the work place & that no one is gona wana be around you, if the order is that rancid & nasty to the extent that ppl will walk away from you, there is no hidur in that, yes we have to mourn & show Availus during the 9 days, but if not showering is gona cause ppl to get disgusted by you then, any Dayan will tell you that you may take a shower, especially here in the US, where it’s the peak of the summer season, it get extremely hot & ppl get sweaty & stinky, in this case Dayanim will tell you that u could take a cold or maybe luke warm shower, this is written up in Melbourne, where it’s winter now, so being that it’s not hot & humid like it is here, maybe not showering won’t be so terrible, but here especially in Bklyn where it gets to be high 90s & over 100, I’m sure that if u ask a dayan, he will tell you that yes its ok, & like I said in the beginning, if your gona stink so bad to the extent that it will smell so foul, then yes, there is no Mitzvah when your around ppl wheather goyim or Yidden to stink like a Bum.   It is good you are clear on Havdala on wine. A lot of ppl told me better to do on beer if no child to drink, others said better on wine. I asked around as to what the Rebbe did, as I never heard the Rebbe made any kiddish or havdala on anything other than wine. As is known even on Shmini Arzeres 5738 the Rebbe made kiddush on wine in the Succah before drinking a cup of water.

  BE”H we shouldn’t need to have these Halachos anymore, enough of this Galus !! Enough of this Galus !! It’s way over due time for מלך המשיח to come, the Rebbe promised us a little of 26 years ago & he said Moshiach is here, G-d we can’t take it anymore, enough of the suffering, enough of the pain, all the stories we hear about in ארצינו הקדושה, Rachmana Litzlan 3 ppl were murdered by Arab Trash, 3 innocent ppl, HKB”H look @ what’s going on in your Holy Land, & last week or 2 weeks ago a soldier was stabbed & murdered, we have suffered enough from this גלות, it’s been over 2000 years, we went through the Holocaust with the Nazis ימח שמם, now we deal with Middle Eastern Nazis the Arabs י”ש, how much pain ? How much suffering, G-d look what’s going around the world, we want Moshiach & we need him, this can’t go on anymore, everyday another story in אה”ק, day after day week after week, Yidden are suffering, it’s time to send אליהו הנביא / מלך המשיח, it’s time, it’s time, it’s time, we don’t want to have תשעה באב this year, it’s so depressing, everyear the 9 days, enough is enough, please please please send the גאולה already, enough of the 3 weeks, the 9 days, all the tragedies, calamities, cataclysms, tribulations, catastrophes, misfortunes, that klal yisroel has endured all these years even after the Holocaust, enough is enough די לצרתינו, Send Melech HaMoshiach already & let’s us go to ארצנו הקדושה ארץ אשר עיני ה אלקיך בה מראשית השנה ועד אחרית שנה to ירושלים עיה”ק Now Now Now Now Now Now Now !!

• Enough of This Galus Already

  The main thing right now is that the 9 days & the 3 weeks should be over before Tisha B’Av, King Moshiach must come & take us out of Galus to Yerushalayim Ir HaKodesh, yes the Halachos of the 9 days are important, but what’s even more important is that all of Klal Yisroel scream out to our Father in Heaven & say “End this Galus Now !!! Enough of the pain & suffering that we all have” we need & must have Moshiach that’s what is the main thing right now !! We need to go Yerushalayim & that’s it, End of this Galus, Finish, Finito as they say in Spanish, G-d Please send us Moshiach Already, it’s way over do, we can’t bare it any longer, take us to Yerushalayim already !!

  I totally totally agree with you 100%, yesterday through WhatsApp there was a worldwide prayer where everyone cried & screamed out to Hashem “Enough of this Galus, pain, suffering” please send Moshiach already we can’t take it anymore !! What we must do is all yidden, Chassidish, Litfish, Sfardi, Frum not Frum everyone together we must & I mean must beseech G-d Almighty & send him the message that it’s enough of this Galus your children are suffering terribly, we can’t take it anymore, we done everything we can to bring Moshiach, now it’s up to you, it’s time to end this Galus, look look see what happened this past Friday night in our Holy Land, this keeps on happening, it’s enough already, like the Rebbe said he did everything that he could to bring Moshiach & so did all yidden around the world we have done everything we could, send the Geula already, we are ready to go to Yerushalayim, we have to unite as Yidden especially in these 9 days, this is the time to make it happen, all this Machlokes between Yidden only makes things worse, we gotta do something & do it fast, G-d it’s up to you, you know what to do all you gotta do is do it, Send King Moshiach already let us go to Yerushalayim our Holy city, there is nothing else to say, Galus is finished finished finished, end it already, as both comments #7 & #8 said it very beautifully, now is the time !! Now is the time !! Today is Rosh Chodesh Menachem Av & the reason it’s called Menachem is bec in the 7 Haftorahs that we read on shabbos following Tisha B’Av, Hashem comforts us, well now Hashem you see very well what’s going on in Your & Our holy Land, this can’t go on anymore, how much bloodshed must there be innocent ppl are dying everyday, End this Galus already !!   It says in the היום יום that during the 3 weeks we don’t make שהחיינו even on Shabbat, I don’t understand why not, if the only day we don’t & are not allowed to show or do anything that shows signs of Availus is Shabbat, why can’t we make a שהחיינו on Shabbat, could anyone shed light on this please ?
