Shluchim to the U.S. Southern Region Hold Kinus

On Sunday, 17 Menachem Av, Chabad of Greensboro hosted a kinus for the Southern Region. Shluchim traveled from Georgia, Louisiana, North Carolina, South Carolina and Texas.

The Kinus began at the Chabad House in Greensboro, where the Shluchim enjoyed a hearty lunch. They heard from Rabbi Yosef Plotkin about his Shlichus in Greensboro over the last 10 years.

The afternoon’s workshops were held at the beautiful 100-acre campus of the American Hebrew Academy, the only Jewish international boarding school in the US.

The first workshop was given by Rabbi Yossi Groner, head Shliach of North Carolina. He spoke about working and communicating with the other local organizations.

An informative workshop on how to have a “geshmak” in fundraising was given by Rabbi Yosef Plotkin.

A special session on “How to Raise Chassideshe Kinder” was given by renowned mashpia, Rabbi Mendel Lipskier of Sherman Oaks, California. Rabbi Lipskier traveled from the west coast for to deliver this talk.

A delicious dinner of grilled meats and sides catered by the Chabad House’s chef was served to the Shluchim at the Chabad House.

During the dinner, the Shluchim heard special remarks from Rabbi Chaim Block, Shliach to S. Antonio, Texas and Rabbi Yossi Groner of Charlotte, North Carolina.

A special message was given by Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky, the organizer and driving force behind the Regional Kinus. He shared an interesting horo’ah that he received from Rebbe with regard to the Regional Kinussim, that more shluchim should have an opportunity to speak and share a few words. Following this, he called upon every Shliach to share some meaningful and inspiring words with their fellow Shluchim,

Following the dinner, Shluchim sat down to farbreng with Rabbi Lipskier and Rabbi Yossi Lew, of Peachtree City, Georgia. The farbrengen lasted until the wee hours of the morning.

“It was an amazing Kinus! The workshops were informative and detailed, the arrangements and hosting were second to none. All in all an amazing experience! The effort of coming was well worth it,” reflected Rabbi Eli Rayder of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. “I personally so enjoyed hearing from every Shliach and taking part in the wonderful farbrengen. שבת אחים גם יחד. “
