CTeens Bring Flower Bouquets to New Jersey Seniors

from NJ.com:

On Presidents Day last month, Chabad of Hunterdon County’s Teen Network – Cteen – volunteered in Flemington putting together floral arrangements for seniors. The Presidents Day “Volunteer and Brunch” meeting took place at the all new “Cteen Lounge” in downtown Flemington.

“We really wanted  to create a chill zone for us and our friends to hang out in a positive setting after school and off days,” said Zach Mraz, future freshman at Hunterdon Central and Cteen Lounge Board Member. “So we approached Rabbi Shloime Greene to help us in setting up the lounge.”

The vision for the new lounge is to create a space where teens can feel completely comfortable, bond in a safe social environment and seek guidance when necessary. Cteen will host various activities including Homework Helpers, Game Nights, Volunteer Opportunities and Movie Nights and will be open to eighth graders and high-school students. The lounge is run by a board of Teen Leaders who are hard at work creating a comfy and inviting “teen-like” space.
