Shliach Memorialized at Annual Fundraising Dinner

Last week some 250 guests joined Chabad-Lubavitch North East London and Essex for their annual fundraising dinner. A special tribute was paid to Rabbi Moshe Muller OBM, one of the local Shluchim who suddenly passed away.

On Monday 6th June, 250 guests joined Chabad-Lubavitch North East London and Essex at the Prince Regent Hotel, Essex for their annual fundraising dinner.

The event celebrated the achievements of the last year whilst looking ahead to the plans for further expansion across Essex in the future. Rabbi Aryeh Sufrin MBE, gave tribute to his dear colleague for 21 years, Rabbi Moshe Muller OBM, whose sudden and tragic passing last month at the age of 43 has deeply impacted the entire Chabad community in Essex and across the globe.

Guest Speaker, Mr. Sassy Reuven, shared his experiences of being one of the IDF soldiers who successfully completed the daring raid on Entebbe in 1976. In his fascinating and inspiring talk, Mr. Reuven Shared never before heard details of the mission that safely brought 100 Jewish hostages back home to Israel. He also shared the impact that Chabad has had on his own life and urged attendees to support the vital work of Chabad locally.

A video showed highlights of events and achievements of the past year and also gave insight into the extent of the spiritual, religious, emotional and practical support that is provided by Mrs Devorah & Rabbi Aryeh Sufrin MBE, Mrs. Henny and Rabbi Odom Brandman and other members of the Chabad Team. The appeal emphasised the need for the whole community to work together as partners to ensure that the needs of individual community members can continue to be met. (Insert quote from speech).

Closing words were delivered by Mrs. Devorah Sufrin who gave thanks to the trustees, sponsors and very dedicated dinner committee.
