New Shluchim to Maryland

Rabbi Shneur Zalman and Mushka Minkowitz will be moving on Shlichus to the Chevy Chase area of Maryland, a suburb of Washington, D.C.

Rabbi Bentzion Geisinsky, Shliach to Bethesda/Chevy Chase in Maryland and director of Merkaz Menachem Chabad, announced the appointment of the new Shluchim.

Chevy Chase is a densely populated, prestigious neighborhood located in the greater Washington area, and is home to thousands of Jewish families – many of whom are not affiliated with Jewish institutions.

Although much work has been done in the area over the years, having Shluchim live in the neighborhood and focus exclusively on this community will create many new opportunities to engage with Jews of all backgrounds and acquaint them with the vast array of educational programs and projects of Chabad.

The Minkowitzes and their young son Mendel will be moving to their new post shortly, and will join the growing family of Shluchim in the Maryland region, under the leadership of head Shluchim Rabbi Shmuel and Rochel Kaplan.

CrownHeights.info wishes the young couple much success on their new Shlichus.

Shneur Zalman is a very talented, energetic and dedicated yungerman, who together with his wife, will surely accomplish Gevaldike inyonim in their mokom hashlichus.
