New Shluchim to Queens

Rabbi Mendy and Chaya Hecht and their daughter Haddassah have recently been appointed as the Chabad Shluchim to North Forest Hills in the Borough of Queens, NY. They will be opening and directing a new Chabad House to serve the north side of Forest Hills.

The New Shluchim were appointed by Rabbi Mordechai Z. Hecht of Chabad of the Gardens / Forest Hills, and will be joining the team of shluchim in the area, including the Senior Shliach – Rabbi Sholem Ber and Rebbetzin Channah Hecht.

The New Shluchim will focus on the whole gamut of Chabad programming, primarily Shabbos dinners, holiday programs and adult education. Furthermore they will cater to the youth of Forest Hills by way of the nationally acclaimed C-Teen program, Chabad Hebrew School, Summer and Winter Camp programs.

  • PLEASE HELP THE CONFUSED!

    Dear Crown Heights Info.

Do you offer confidential psychiatric treatment and counselling for the confused?

#8 and 9 are practically crying out for help and are probably not sure where to turn bec. of their great confusion.
They may also be uncomfortable to identify themselves.

Please give them any information via your site that might help.

Also don’t give more than 1 therapist as they might become even more confused if they find that there are 2 psychiatrists or more in Brooklyn.

In general you must be more considerate of the confused and please not write about, nor advertise more than 1 wedding hall, 1 school, 1 recipe, 1 mazel tov, 1 smicha program, 1 farbrengen, 1 yom tov, 1 book, 1 event, 1 child etc. bec. life does get very confusing for these people.
(Can’t imagine how painful it must be for them to look at a calender – “OH G-D – so many days and all near each other – what for? – we had a day yesterday already!”
And hey just by the way – why do we need Crown Heights info. (if not for your counselling help) – after all besides you there’s collive and shmais for all the good news in our community that comes in more than 1 and that is so, so confusing! –

  • to the confused ones
