Long Island Shluchim Gather for Regional Kinus

In honor of 20 years since Gimmel Tammuz, the Chabad Shluchim of New York’s Long Island hosted their annual regional Kinus at the Ohel, on Sunday, 7 Av.

The Kinus was organized by the Long Island Vaad HaShluchim, and covered many areas of shlichus.

Speakers included Rabbi Yisroel Schulman of Nylag about the new NYS laws for religious corporations, Rabbi Motti Seligson of Chabad.org, and Rabbis Eli Goodman and Yanki Saacks, who led a Shluchim Roundtable.

During the dinner, emceed by Rabbi Leibel Baumgarten, new Shluchim Rabbis Yitzchak Hassine, Yakov Yoseph Raskin, and Dovid Weinbaum spoke. In addition, Rabbi Shmuel Butman represented the Vaad of Tzach, Head Shliach Rabbi Tuvia Teldon addressed a number of current issues, and Rabbi Aron Ginsberg of Boro Park gave the keynote address and farbrenged afterwards.

Over 35 Shluchim attended, and left with much inspiration to take their Shlichus on Long Island to the next level.
