4 Day Chabad on Campus Conference Concludes

ELLENVILLE, NY [CHI] – An intense four-day conference for the Shluchim at colleges and universities around the United States and beyond came to a close this afternoon.

Over 100 Shluchim, 75 Shluchos and 250 Tzeirei Hashluchim took part in the annual Kinus, which is reported to have been the largest one yet. “It was the most incredible Kinus to date,” said Mrs. Henchi Felling, Shlucha to the University of Miami, adding that, “it was very powerful, and brought an extraordinary feeling of Achdus and unity to all of the Shluchim.”

The Kinus took place in the expansive Honors Haven Resort in Ellenville, N.Y., and the program included practical sessions essential to both new and veteran Shluchim.

A dedicated staff made sure the children, too, were involved with the Kinus, by running the Tzeirei HaShluchim and Shluchos program. They gave the children a sense of pride in their own Shlichus on campus of which they are so much a part.

The extended weekend concluded with practical and strong hachlotos, giving renewed energy to Shluchim for the upcoming year in Shlichus.

“Overall, the atmosphere of the four-day Kinus was very much enjoyed both B’Gashmius and B’Ruchnius,” said Rabbi Yossi Lazaroff, Shliach to Texas A&M University, adding that it was made enjoyable by “the great accommodations and food, alongside the powerful and practical sessions.”

Campus Shluchim have a very hard job & do it so well. They are everything to their students, & provide a real home-from-home (with the Yiddishkeit.) The Rebbetzins cook for armies! This is a shot in the arm for them, where they can talk to other Shluchim facing the same issues.

And of course, it brings in my kids every year! Nice to see pictures of Mendy & Brocha Lent, Shluchim to the University of Nottingham, UK.

    Wow.

My bro’s a shliach on campus and his words were “they took this crazy insane amount of energy, and compressed it into practical”. He said he couldn’t even sleep.. he couldn’t leave or anything! he didn’t want to miss one word of the lectures, farbrengins, improv. sessions…

Im’ very very impressed, and happy that this positive energy is flowing.. G-d knows we need it.

To all who organized, planned, and especially the front lines people…… THANK YOU from the depths of my soul.
