Monday: Children’s International Day of Learning

This Monday, 20 Adar, February 29, an international day of learning will unite children across the world through Torah study.

After a very successful launch earlier this year, where children in schools worldwide gathered to learn about Avraham, Tzivos Hashem Headquarters and Merkos L’Inyonei Chinuch are proud to inform you that on Monday, 20 Adar, February 29, the second series of our Hakhel curriculum will be learned worldwide.

“This month, we are going to be conquering the North,” says general Shimmy Weinbaum of the Chayolei Tzivos Hashem brigade. “By following the orders from our general the Rebbe, how Tzivos Hashem will conquer the world may we be zoche to the ultimate hakhel in the Beis Hamikdosh hashlishi bekorov mamosh.”

As in the first edition, the lessons have been fully prepared and are completely ready to use, including PowerPoint slideshows, teachers notes and interactive workbooks for the students. There are two streams for this learning program, for elementary and middle school. The materials have been researched by Rabbi Osher Broh and produced by Mrs. Devorah Leah Wineberg, shlucha to Johannesburg, South Africa.

“This program gives us the opportunity to have a worldwide Hakhel experience!” says Mrs. Wineberg, “With all the children around the globe learning the same Torah in the way that the Rebbe showed us, we have an incredible power to bring brocho for all Yidden and the ultimate brocho of the Geulah!”

Many schools have implemented the first lesson plan on Avraham and the feedback was very positive.

“Thank you for this clear and comprehensive content, and for bringing the Hakhel atmosphere into the classroom and into their lives!” says Rabbi Aharon Wilschanski, principal of Cheder Morristown.

“As of now my 1st -3rd grades have joined for this special Hakhel program and their excitement with this project has encouraged my 4th and 5th grade teachers, who are now looking forward to doing it very soon. “We would like to continue to use the material you prepare each month. Yasher koach on the beautiful content!” Shoshana Scheiner, base commander of Bais Rivkah Montreal shared.

“Thank you again for all your hard work in preparing such a meaningful program,” wrote Leah Rivka Perlstein.
