Crowdsourcing Mitzvos for Israel

With the war raging in Israel, Jews around the world are contributing in every way they can. Following the Rebbe’s call, as far back as 1967, to increase especially in specific Mitzvos, Chabad.org launched a campaign where visitors can pledge a mitzvah, with a goal of reaching 25,000 Mitzvos.

You can pledge a mitzvah and follow the tally at http://www.chabad.org/2616185.

“People want to help in any way they can, and one significant way we can is spiritually,” said Rabbi Mendy Kaminker of chabad.org. “The response has been overwhelming, with thousands of mitzvahs being pledged in the first few hours. We are at 5,000 mitzvahs – which is 19% of our goal!”

Chabad.org is even considering raising the stated goal in light of the overwhelming response.

The campaign page features a tally of where the campaign is holding. A pledge form for mitzvos – with a number of featured mitzvos, including: Tefillin, Shabbos candle lighting, Mezuza, Ahavas Yisroel, and Torah study – is available on the webpage.

A Facebook event promoting Shabbos candle lighting for Israel was also launched on Friday: https://www.facebook.com/events/745561335479842/permalink/745561338813175/.
